Halley loves flashcards. Especially in the car. I, well, not so much. I am always fishing them out from under and between the seats, all full of crumbs and wrinkled. Both of which cause great stress to my neat and orderly four year old.
I found this idea here at Make and Takes (great blog!) and it's so brilliant and so simple. Flashcards + book rings + hole punch = neat and orderly happiness. Halley is less frustrated as am I.
It may not be rocket science, but you're a genius!! Well, maybe whomever you lifted the idea from...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!

I saw this somewhere too! I have those book ring things on my school supply shopping list. I can't wait to get them done!! I wish I could remember where I saw the idea...hmmm...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! I am like Halley...not so big on the disorder! We have all sorts of flash cards but no rings!! Guess what I will have to get?!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this idea. It is so simple, yet I had not thought of it before. I will be using it with my boys just as soon as I get some rings to go with our cards. :0)
ReplyDeleteCOOL, COOL, COOL! I love that she loves her flashcards in the car...! Gotta love a "little learner" that loves to learn! Bloggin Chrystal
ReplyDeleteThank you! Those flash cards are all over my house. I've put them in ziplock, containers, wrapped with rubber band and still..... they are everywhere. This is good!
ReplyDeleteTHAT is a great idea! I have a toddler who just loves to create chaos in the backseat when mom is driving and can't do anything about it. She's not at the reading stage yet but I'll bet I can find flashcards with cute pictures. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I just bought those very flash cards (athankya Target) and fished several out from under the airplane seat. Need to remember this for next time.
