All day I was thinking of Cora and her family.

My heart is broken.

I wish I could fly to Kansas and give them a hug.
I need to do something.
Something to honor her life.

Her memory.

I went straight to my sewing machine, got out my favorite fabric.
The one I haven't been able to cut.
The one I have yet to find a worthy project for.

Until now.

Her family is building a playground in her honor.

You can help by purchasing a messy flower pin or headband.

100% of the proceeds will go to the Cora's Playground fund.

Remember her and share her story while you wear it.

  1. I think this is an amazing way to remember and honor sweet Cora's short life. She has touched SO many people in so many ways in such a short amount of time. My heart is still aching for her family and those who love her most. I haven't been able to get them off my mind for days now.

What a perfect use for your favorite fabric!!

  4. I just bought one, thanks for doing this. I don't know the family personally, but I grew up near Newton and have been following their story the last couple of weeks. My grandpa lives down the road from Joel's parents (small world). Like everyone else my heart is breaking for them and I have been lifting them up in prayer during this time of sorrow. I hope to see her playground next time I am home for visit.

  10. I only recently became aware of the difficult journey for the McClenahans and I have been captured ever since by their strength and faith. Baby Cora has touched me and now with this beautiful flower I can remember to never take life for granted!
