Not really, but once in a while I like to be all Martha-y.
Glassine envelopes scream Martha to me.
I happen to have 1,000 of them. Mainly because they have thousands of uses, and happen to come in that exact quantity.
I use them all of the time. Favors, gifts, organizing...
Somehow the box of them is sort of Mary Poppins-esque. It never, ever, ever is showing signs of running out. For sure one of the best crafty purchases that I have ever made.
So today? What use did they serve?
They are housing these yummy, evil, addicting, wonderful chocolate covered peanut butter Ritz crackers.
Evil I tell you.
Don't get all weird on me if you haven't tried them. Did I lead you wrong with toffee crack?
I will accept your apology now. Once you try them, you will get weak in the knees.
They are the best kind of bad.
After too many unsuccessful attempts at properly formatting the labels (which I bought for another project and now have about 1,800 left over), I broke down and dusted off a Martha stamp set that I had always wanted to use. I love stamps. Love them. Love Stampin' Up ink pads. I just don't get them out often enough. That needs to change. As much as I enjoy designing on the computer, it is richly satisfying to put ink to paper with your own hands.
Surprisingly, stamping took way less time and stress than yelling at my computer and googling ways to figure out how to format circles. Old school is sort of awesome.
Now the Ritz fabulous is Martha fabulous.
Thankfully, they are all sealed, thus preventing me from eating 100 dozen more.
Did I mention they are evil?
Want.
Them all.
Glassine envelopes and stamp are my BFFs.
ReplyDelete::mouth watering::!
So stinkin' pretty... just love it. Though I'm not sure I'll love the calories, but I'm willing to take one for the team.
ReplyDeleteSo cute Julie!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I kid you not ... toffee crack cooling so it can go in the fridge and then in my tummy (or rather straight to my hips and thighs) ;).
I love the idea of the Ritz, but the cracker toffee is just SO stinking easy. Do I really have time to dip crackers?!?!
These are to die for. I look forward to my friend's cookie plate every year because she makes these. They sound weird, but oh my, they are just so good.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the envelopes and labels! I have a small collection of stamps. I don't use mine as often as I'd like. I'm usually short on time. It doesnt' help that my desk is piled high with fabric and sewing stuff too!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lorilee
old school is sort of awesome.
ReplyDeleteHA!
Oh my gosh....peanut butter Ritz Crack....I am SO making this!
ReplyDeleteYummy! Wish one of those was headed my way. Sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteIi make these every year Julie, my fave. Right up there with Healthy Honeys...and don't get all weird on me if you haven't ever tried them...but wait--maybe it's a midwest thing? : ) Anyway, you'd think you'd died and gone to heaven. for real.
ReplyDeleteps-- they look super cute, too.
If you want the next step of "evil"... use the mini ritz w/ peanut butter. They just pop in your mouth! :)
ReplyDeletesuch cute little gifts for loved ones. i need to get my "bakin' on" too.
ReplyDeleteeat pray love is calling my name tonite, however.
I'm all about old school girl. I still use the freezer paper method for all my stencil-esque projects. I'm not all fancy with a cricut or silhouette machine. Love the way this turned out.
ReplyDeleteLove how you packaged these! I must ask...have you tried them with spreading peanut butter on one cracker and marshmallow creme on the other, then dipping the sandwich into melted chocolate almond bark?? YUM.
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE! And yummy looking! I'm going to have to get those stamps too; they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Kind Regards,
Nicole

OK, seriously??? Your cute little sugar-free skinny self trumps toffee crack during the holidays?! Evil. Evil, I tell you.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Too bad I'm just now seeing this and thinking that would have been the perfect way to distribute my treats this year. I guess I'll get them and have them on hand for the next occasion. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI made chex muddie buddies once for my Sunday school class, imagining them gobbling them up and being covered with powered sugar, chocolate and peanut butter in minutes. However THEY HATED IT. SO I had to eat that evil goodness, all by myself. Thus, I have neever made them since. So I can relate to the Ritz evilness, and thusly, will not make them to find out. =o)
ReplyDeleteBest thing to eat on Christmas Eve! It's a must! Cute packaging!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, A friend of mine introduced my to the those cookies last year and I make them to much. :) They are beyond heavenly. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeleteYumm! I love the idea of the chocolate covered ritz's. Have you seen where they make them like thin mints; dipped in chocolate with mint? Oh they just somehow jump in your mouth and the plate of them is gone?
