If I could have a party every single weekend, I would have a favorite things party.
It was sooooooo fun.
It might even be my favorite event to date.
Yummy food. Cozy pj's. Crazy laughing. Awesome new finds.
I'm already planning the next one...
How soon is too soon?
A pretty vintage sheet garland sneakily hid our broken flatscreen monstrosity, and made the room festive.
Invite with a free printable from On to Baby.
Bags to hold treats and favors.
Flower kit from Very Jane. Hair candy for all.
Packaged pretty with doilies, tags, and glassine bags.
Five lucky tickets per guest.
Notebook from Dollar tree, meet Mod Podge and pretty paper.
Perfect to jot down details about some new favorite things.
My friends are rad and bring super yummy treats.
This peanut butter ball. Killer.
Every bite of food. Amazing.
After we had our fill of treats, we gathered in a huge circle. Then one by one we got up, shared our favorite thing, why we love it, how much it costs, and where to get it.
Then we drew five names from a bucket and gave them away.
It was so cool to see the many varied favorite things.
It was fun to anticipate your name being called.
A small sampling of the nearly thirty favorite things that we all shared, cheered, and fought over.
Leslie brought frames that she wrapped in pretty fabric.
Hers was voted the most favoritest, favorite thing.
Alicia made her this happy little prize pack.
My favorite thing?
Fabric rosette earrings from Rella's Bellas.
I have the yellow and the grey pair and I wear them all the time.
They can be casual, they can be dressy. They are always pretty.
Pretty much my favorite.
Get your friends together.
Host a fave things night.
It will be your favorite.
I promise.
This is genius. I am planning one STAT!
ReplyDeleteWell I was pretty sure this was a must when I saw your sneaky sneeks about it ... but now I am in LOVE with the idea. Like love, love, love, love it to the point I just e-mailed a few of my 'favorite' gals to get one going.
ReplyDeleteI've done a 'favorite things' swap with a few girls in the years past and it's always so much fun to see what other people are loving.
Add to that good food, good conversation and you've got a sweet combination.
Thanks for sharing your creativity!!
XOXO

It's kind of ridiculous how sad I am that I live far from you and couldn't go to your favorite things party. Sad panda.

ReplyDeleteHow did the exchange go? Did you just buy a roll of tickets and match up numbers?

Thanks for the best idea ever! Did everyone get a chance to win an equal amount of gifts? How did it work with the tickets and making sure everyone won a fair share or did it just work out?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea,Im defnitely doing this. Question: Does it matter how many people are invited? How do I make sure everyone gets something?
ReplyDeleteSilly question: Is it under $6 total or under $6 per item?
ReplyDeleteI'm tthrowing a fav things party and want to make the notebooks. Did you put paper on both sides of the notebook? Thanks!
