Coming from the school of total Summer List dropouts...
(sort of stresses me out to have a list of things to do on top of a crazy full schedule already, compounded by one of my kid's OCD need to check everything off, no matter what, and her intense unrest when most of it didn't get finished last year because of that whole having a fourth kid business...)
This time around, we are taking a slightly different approach.

Fun things that we can do almost everyday.
Hooray for Joy from Reclaimed Signs for making it so cute to have a manageable list.
A list that we can use each and every summer.
A list that is helping to bring her son home from South Korea.
(Her signs go crazy fast, and her shop is only open for a few weeks.  Go.  Now.)
A list of all of the best parts of summer.
Especially naps, reading, and learning something new.
Those are my fave.
Marshmallows and popsicles might just be the kids fave.

Popsicles.  Check.

 Naps.  Check.

 Roasting marshmallows.  Check.

 Swimming.  Check.

Reading.  Check.

 Play games.  Check.

Learn something new.  Check.

It's looking like it's going to be the best summer yet.

  2. Love this. I made our summer list using things I know we have planned. That way there is no added pressure.

  3. We aren't doing the 'big list' this year either for the same exact reasons as you. I LOVE the short list and we have pretty much done all of that as well. :) Also, our house is on the mkt so I have needed to keep most things as simple as possible. Only exceptions are the birthday parties (we have 2 summer bdays). :)

  4. In the words of the Fresh Beat Band... What a great day! It was a super way to spend the day together...... I pinned summer lists, but haven't even printed them. We're still having a fantastic summer. Yesterday included water balloons. :)

  10. Totally understand having someone in the house OCD and the need to complete the list. : ) My daughter is that way.... so we have more of a loose idea of what we want to do this summer... no timelines, nothing written down... gives more flexibility to be spontaneous and just enjoy life! Its great!!! Looks like you are enjoying soaking up the sun and time with those precious kiddos. Enjoy! Happy SUMMER
